I delete your number when you stop responding to my texts. I turn off my phone and hide it somewhere so I can't find it just so I won't know whether or not you responded. I call you an asshole and a jerk and a player and I promise myself I won't ever talk to you again. Then you text me back and I realize I was just pretending all along.
